Join us at the Smoking Lily Studio for the first in our new series of Workshops!
Woven Basket Workshop - Thursday, April 5th, 6-8pm
In this 2-hour class you’ll learn how to weave soft, sculptural baskets with strips of fabric. Working on box-frames, we’ll turn Smoking Lily’s Savage Yarn (made from the offcuts of our fabric during clothing production – part of our Zero Waste initiative) into a 9” wide, functional vessel that you can use to cover a plant pot, fill with fruit or yarn…whatever!
You’ll leave this class with a fully finished (or nearly there!) basket, plus the skills and tools to go forth and make more baskets in all shapes, sizes and colours.
Workshop includes: your choice of Savage Yarn colours, tools, instruction booklet, special Smoking Lily project bag and light snacks.
