The Milkman's Daughter: Book Report


I'm always on the hunt for creative and inspiring new books. I've devoured most of the content in art sections of Victoria's book shops. When I started working at Smoking Lily and discovered that The Milkman's Daughter carries books I was enthralled;I have a small personal library of art books and had been contemplating branching out. Milk's selection is a treasure trove for discerning bibliophiles. Here's our mini book report of some of the titles: To help unlock the readers creativity,the a-z of visual ideas explains key ideas, sources of inspiration and visual techniques that have been used throughout design history. Farmers' Market Desserts is filled with delicious ideas for food close to home. (FYI: Victoria's Market Square farmer's market is open Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer.) Blackbird Bakery Gluten-Free shares a wonderful array of sweet (and a few savory) recipes that were at one time off-limits to anyone with a gluten intolerance.
