The tides have been high in the evenings here lately, which has been excellent for beating the heat at the end of the day.I've headed out in my canoe each evening, revelling in the fresh air off the Fraser River, as I paddle out ofFinn Slough. This weekend, an impromptu regatta unfolded at the slough: neighbours picked up other neighbours (and dogs) off their decks as they boated past; more boats arrived, and one person who drove up and spotted us hopped into a boat from the shore to join in. Of course, there was some Smoking Lily in the mixa camouflage Kapow dress! Leanne, steering the 1950's aluminium boat below, has a few Kapows and wears them on all sorts of adventures. I was wearing a Simple tee, "vintage Lily" Utility skirt and Vanity shorts. The rest of the mix included bourbon, champagne and beer. Cheers! The air was sowonderfully cool at sundown. That's Mt. Baker in Washington State in the background above. I hope you are all finding ways to stay cool when the summer heat strikes. Please takeyour Lily garments along on your adventures, they are made for them! glenda.
