When Suzanne was in the prototype stage of designing this tunic she would nab whomever was closest to try it on. She had a hard time getting her samples back because no one wanted to take them off. They loved the soft fabric, thepockets and the shaping.
Celine is wearing the tunics with Lily leggings and gumboots - de rigueur Vancouver spring accessories.
We chose a bamboo blend French terry in three colour ways: teal, black and red.
The prints we chose are classic Smoking Lily designs, with a bit of a twist. On the teal (above) we printed Helis and added the Moon as a tone-on-tone print in the background. The black (below) is covered in Flyz as a tight repeat. The Flyz have beena well-loved print for years (decades?). The odd combo of the classic Napoleonic bee patternandsimple house flies feels quintessentially Lily.
For the red, Liz re-drew our ol' Fern print as dashes and dots.
Oh Joyful Tunic, bamboo/cotton French terry, small through large, and extra large by request. $92.
