Beat Up Creations

Catching up on Design Sponge yesterday, I came upon thisThanksgiving post featuring the somewhat Gothic-rustic table setting above. Skull candelabras, a random cloche, and a rather dramaticnoircolour-scheme would definitely make the old tofurky a little more exciting, in my humble opinion. The best part, however, are the plates--strange, re-glazed oddities from Beat Up Creations in L.A. We've been Beat Up fans for a couple of years now, and carry a selection of their ceramics, cards, and postcards at both the Milkman's Daughter in Victoria and our Main Street location in Vancouver (Morgan even posted a charmingly creepy round-up of the plates a couple weeks back). Korinne has also informed me that the home of the woman who styled this setting--Michelle Varian, proprietor of a New Yorkdécorshop--is featured in the most current issue of Anthology Magazine, also available at the Milkman's Daughter. It's good to know we're in the loop! Cheers, Erin
